Personal Care

Personal care services help to keep you living independently at home. You may need help with getting up in the morning and having a shower, getting dressed or taking your medication. You may also need assistance with getting around your house or completing important tasks if your hearing, sight or speech is impaired.

  • Items funded through other programs (e.g. medications or dose aids)
  • Medication given by a nurse

Transport

Transport services help you stay independent and connected to your community. Whether it’s getting to medical appointments, running errands, or attending social activities, we make it easier for you to get where you need to go. Support may be provided through a driver service or transport vouchers.

Social Support and Community Engagement

Keeping in contact with your community is important for your health and wellbeing. This social support service keeps you connected, whether it’s someone accompanying you to a community or social event, or helping you video chat to a friend on your computer or tablet. This service helps you to stay connected with your community and culture, in person or online.

What we can help with

  • Group or individual social support
  • Accompanied activities and Cultural support
  • Digital education and support
  • Assistance and expenses to maintain personal affairs

 

What’s not covered

  • General expenses such as the cost for tickets, accommodation, membership, or devices
  • Services that could be subsidised through other programs
  • Domestic assistance, such as grocery shopping.

 

Respite Care

Respite services provide temporary relief for carers while ensuring the older person remains safe, respected and supported to maintain independence, connection and wellbeing.
